Hey! Sorry, didn't see your comment until now. I've been running this deck for the last year or so and put up pretty consistent high results at my locals. The 3/2 Mako is far and away the best card in the set, so I would certainly recommend this RBy build.

The Seki Tekko and 2/1 backup are fairly flexible slots. The 2/1 backup is nice to have, especially when you can salvage it with your Door CX or maybe Seki Tekko. It can save your fairly low power level 3 characters, and kill things that get bigger during your turn (early play Sayaka from madoka, for me). It's a meta call though ultimately. You may be better off running two 2/1 Assist Ryuko instead. Personally, I like having access to even just one backup in the deck, just in case.

As for the Seki Tekko, in some rare cases you find yourself having drawn no level 3's and need some way to set up for the late game. Seki Tekko can help with this, and you can tutor for it from the 0/0 Ryuko brainstorm if you're really in a pinch. It can also grab you two 1/0 Climax Combo Ryukos if you have a Door CX in hand to do some precision damage to finish off your opponent. Still, if you test it and find yourself not using it a lot, another Classic Trap would be a fine replacement.

How have the seki tekko and the 2/1 backup worked for you?
This is pretty much sisters w/ yellow for that godly 3/2 mako. which ive been thinking about but havent put too much thought into the numbers.
